ELEF SUMRRY

In January 17th, 1995, Japan woke to the worst earthquake in the history of the nation. Thousands perish and the damage caused was nearly $100 billion. Regardless of nationality, religion, nor barriers of language, people from all over the world came together with Japan to rescue the survivor, give medical attention and to make a much need contributions. With contributors coming from all over the world, we felt closer to them and no longer felt as Japanese but more as citizen of the world. We thank every person who helped us feel so.

In addition, the earthquake started many volunteer groups and organizations to establish within Japan, with different goals and aims, but mainly to help the less fortunate. But Many of these groups and organizations failed to create a proper NPO ( None Profit Organizations) due to lack of knowledge and experience, and many faded from existence. With that in mind, we realized that much like blood vessels for humans to survive NPO needs funds of their own to continue.

ELEF (Eternal Love Earth Fund) aim to be a strong NPO to support other volunteer groups and charity organizations via fundraising. We wont our society to be in a horizontal relationship, relying on each other, instead of the traditional vertical relationship.

We believe that, in order to change the world for the better, every person as an individual need to realize that they are a part of the earth as a whole, and the challenges they face, could be shared with others. Our opinion is based on that understanding.

The Eternal Love Earth Funds philosophy is to keep “Eternal Love” for all beings of the world. Which means mutual help and support for people of all ages with special needs not considering religion or nationality.? The Japanese world “Keizai” means to manage society in order to relieve people’s emotional or physical pain, and it is that Keizai we wont to teach the world, through our actions.?

ELEF decided on the 17th of January 2000, which is the anniversary of the great earthquake, to be the first year of “Eiai” (eternal love). We aim to be a realistic but energetic NPO, but our primary goal is for everyone, through our actions, to feel like a citizen of the world. ELEFs’ final objective is to create a world of peace were everybody and anybody can live in harmony with each other.
